For Jon, an expertise in cattle financing comes from decades of insight, whether it’s from growing up on a 1600-acre Indiana farm or his Bachelor’s in Agricultural Systems Management from Purdue University. This lifelong passion for agriculture has led him to John Deere, Wells Fargo and several finance companies before landing at Land O’Lakes, where his knowledge of investments and lending have helped producers across the country. His greatest takeaway is an appreciation for how each person’s intersection of family and work life rarely deviates from farm to farm, North to South, and East to West. Which is something he sees in his own family these days, as his children are busy showing cattle, raised on the farm he grew up on.
