Processing Facility

When meat supply and shackle space increased in demand, a meat locker owner in Nebraska decided it was the right time to expand their capacity. A family-owned and operated business in a rural Nebraska town, this customer was positioned to grow his smaller, local locker facility along with the need to fill customer’s freezers. In addition to custom processing, they operate a small feedyard and provide the cattle for custom harvest.

Land O’Lakes Finance Co. helped with a finance package that included the construction and term financing for a new locker facility with expanded capacity. Long-term interest rates helped with controlling interest costs of the facility debt. The loan package was structured in a way to allow positive cash flow to begin before payments were required. Land O’Lakes Finance Co. also provided a financing option for the cattle operation as a separate benefit to his operation.

Production capacity has more than doubled and continues to grow. The ability to make accelerated payments on the loan will allow them more flexibility and growth opportunities.
